Don't let anyone tell you otherwise: this is a prequel to Alien. Similar in tone and plot to the original film, Prometheus develops slowly and creepily. Soon enough, you're cringing in you seat. I'm not sure I understood everything I was supposed to, or maybe I wasn't supposed to understand everything I thought I was supposed to. Whatever, it's pretty wild. Oh, worst ever old man makeup on Guy Pearce. Even worse than the J Edgar junk. What gives? Did we forget how to do old man makeup after Benjamin Button?
