Why this was better than Blair Witch Project: 1. The acting, 2. Camera work I could follow, 3. I actually knew what the frig I was looking at. Honestly, I did not want to see this movie because I thought it would suffer from Blair Witch Syndrome (ie. Piece of garbage with a lot of hype) This is actually pretty darn good. I can't understand how it's possible for so many people to give this a low rating. I mean, it is what it looks like: a movie about two divers stranded in the ocean. There are no hideous sea monsters with a hundred tentacles or crazy action sequences involving fifty CGI cars or gratuitous diarrhea scenes. It's two people in the ocean with nothing around for miles. My only complaint is the use of that blasted digital grainy camera again. That's two movies in a row I've seen that use that (the other being Collateral) What is the point of this device? It serves no purpose other than to spoil the picture quality. It does not make the movie seem more realistic, because realistic would mean a clearer picture, no? Anyways, good flick, lots of tense moments, liked it better than Jaws, which was overrated. Don't see it if you don't like the colour blue, and stay the heck out of the ocean. I know I'm never even gonna take another bath again. EVER!!!
