Urara Sayama, a 17-year-old high school student, leads a solitary life with no friends or boyfriend, finding solace only in reading boys' love (BL) manga, a hobby she keeps secret. While working part-time as a cashier at a bookstore, she encounters Yuki Ichinoi, a 78-year-old widow who has been living alone since her husband's death. Yuki, intrigued by the attractive cover of a BL manga, purchases it and soon becomes a fan of the genre. This shared interest sparks a friendship between Urara and Yuki, leading them to embark on a joint challenge inspired by their love for BL manga.
